Casinos are mostly located in the capital of Sofia and in coastal resorts. Some of them are seasonal and close with the end of the summer. Small casinos operate in other towns.

Most towns have at least one bingo hall, as well. With the development of the tourism sector, gambling and the gaming industry in the country is expected to develop. Bulgaria's entry into the EU is also expected to play a positive effect.
